wind is blowing hard, trees are bowing to the Wind God. Crashes on the roof. Will assess damage in the morning. Power is out again, operating off battery back up power. Finished wiring the 110 volt inverter circuit to the living room by flashlight an hour ago. We have a light and TV so we were able to catch the last few minutes of Survivor once the inverter power was switched on. I have a few 12 volt lights wired in around the house to give light where needed and the back up blowers for the fireplace are 12 volt also. They are a lot noisier then the regular blower but at least we have heat. Everything runs off a dozen deep cycle batteries and a 2000 watt inverter. Not enough to run the whole house but enough to keep a few lights on, provide a little entertainment and heat. This is the first real test. We will see how long the batteries hold up. Speaking of batteries, my battery meter on my lap top says that it is about time to shut down. I hope everyone is snuggled in and safe during this storm.
